Conversation: The impossible and the humanitarian

With Helena Cardellach, Montse Bartuí, Cristina Genebat and Txell Feixas
Tuesday 24 of march at 19h
Teatre La Biblioteca

Where does the impulse to help without expecting anything in return come from? Why do some people strive for a better world, even knowing that it is impossible to change it? What is it that makes us human? And what, at its core, is humanitarian work? All these questions resonate within En la mesura de l’impossible, and they have guided us throughout the creative process. During the rehearsals for the production, Helena Cardellach and Montse Bartuí, members of Doctors Without Borders, visited us and allowed us to get a little closer to the four characters to whom the play gives voice. Following this meeting, we felt it would be interesting to revisit the conversation, this time with you, the audience. It will take the form of a discussion with Cristina Genebat, the director of the production who has confronted all these questions, and with Txell Feixas, journalist and writer who has direct knowledge of the contexts of the impossible through her experience as a correspondent. The attempt to understand, even when it may be impossible, can be a profoundly human gesture.
