“Theatre moves, transforms, and in its shifting, stirs so many things within us. Everything can happen at once, like the character and the actor, like rehearsals and performances, and nothing is made to last forever. The Catalan poet Joan Vinyoli wrote it clearly: "tot és ara i res" (everything is now and nothing). Theatre is like saying the word ‘rains’ and making it rain through a long April morning.”

Last June we wrote you a letter to share that we were preparing the international tour of The Tiger Lillies in A Macbeth Song, just as we were about to travel to the port city of Gdansk in Poland. We are delighted to tell you that all of this has now become a reality. In January we were in Santiago de Chile, and it was a beautiful experience for the whole company and for the audiences there. Between now and June, we bring this Macbeth to three different theatres and Shakespeare Festivals: Craiova (Romania), we have been invited again to Gdansk (Poland) and to Neuss (Germany). We will also perform in the Czech Republic in June, where we are the opening show of the international REGIONS Festival, at the TheAtrium Festival in Lithuania, and we will be in Madrid at Centro Condeduque and in Valladolid at LAVA. You will find the full schedule below. At the same time, we continue working to secure further performances for next season...

We are embarking on La Perla’s first major international tour and, who knows, perhaps some of you might take the opportunity of our being in so many different places to plan a weekend getaway, or to ask us to bring you something from that special shop you visited long ago, or to deliver a letter to someone you would like to send your regards to... It is a very special moment for all of us, and we love feeling you close, through your curiosity and your wish to be part of it.
