The honor is mine, Mr. Espriu

This is a show for three voices and a guitar, halfway between reading and dramatization. Catalonia seen through the eyes of the poet. The creation of a myth, almost tragic, from Sinera to the Greek sources. The creation of a unique universe. Lacking it, Espriu feels the need to create it. This is what sets him apart, in my opinion, from other Catalan writers. He detects this need and gets to work, turning it into a universe. Using characters from the world of his summers, and elevating them to the status of Catalonian figures. He takes Arenys, his summer village, and elevates it to a mythical place, which could be anywhere. He makes it into a Catalonian universe, meant to serve as a point from which we can better understand ourselves.
