Rosencrantz i Guildenstern son morts (1967) premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. It was then that he caught the attention of Kenneth Tyna, who decided to produce a version for the National Theater in London and on Broadway in 1967, winning the Tony Award (USA) as the best play of the year 1968. Tom Stoppard is considered one of the most prestigious English writers of the moment. Stoppard's work in the cinema has also not gone unnoticed and the great success achieved by the film Shakespeare in Love was supported by an Oscar for the British author. For the first time, this text will be in Catalan, a text that has been performed in more than 50 countries. We have proposed the translation of this classic to the young Catalan playwright and translator Marc Rosich (recently awarded by the Romea Foundation as a playwright).
