"At that time we still lived in Naples"

Synopsis

While Antonietta's large family leaves the house to go see the military march organized by Mussolini with Hitler himself present, she discovers that in the next floor a man lives in anguish of resistance to the regime. They meet, talk and suddenly Antonietta discovers that life can have many contradictions, it can go far beyond her small everyday life as a housewife. An intense exchange of a few hours that will make both characters have a good time, but above all it will change them forever.

Management notes

"At that time we still lived in Naples"... and then I feel a knot in my stomach. Because in this work nothing is said clearly, everything comes out, little by little, like in good theater, through the nuances of the actors, the sounds, the lights, a music, a sweater, a piece of wood, a hanging cloth... A phrase like this, which takes me to the home of the Cupiello, without them knowing it, makes me cry. And I watch as Pablo listens, and as Clara cries, and Màrcia beside me, waiting to appear on stage. And I am happy. This powerful world of cinema, confused with the world of theater, moves our lives, epic in their everydayness, in their misery, in "...as poor as we are." Yes, we have returned with you, friends, to tell you this new story, and we are all happy and sad and desperate at the same time.
